The juice is worth the squeeze

Think of your message as an orange.  The presentation (or however you spread your message) is the squeeze.  What your audience remembers is the orange juice.   If you are having trouble spreading your idea, go back to the basics and fine-tune your message.  That is the core.  A good message will produce a good presentation (although it’s not guaranteed).  If the message is bad, the audience leaves thirsty.
