Find the want

At its simplest form, the only way to get someone to do anything (buy from you, listen to you, follow you, vote for you) is because they want to.  That’s what has driven every decision you’ve ever made.  That’s what makes us all the same.  We are only interested in what we want.  According to Dale Carnegie, author of “How to Win Friends and Influence People,” the only way to influence other people is to talk about what they want and show them how to get it.  By solving their problems first, you’ll solve your own problems in return.
