Those who know the path are professors. Those who walk the path are leaders. You can read all the books, attend all the seminars, and earn all the degrees. In the end, all those do for you is show you the path that others have successfully navigated. Walking the path on your own is where real success happens.
If you are going to give a presentation about using visuals instead of text and bullet points, don’t use a presentation filled with text and bullet points. If you want to talk about simplicity, don’t give a two-hour speech with no structure. The audience will see right through you and your credibility is finished. As Morpheus said in the movie, The Matrix, “Sooner or later you’re going to realize just as I did that there’s a difference between knowing the path and walking the path.”
