How you respond to criticism can tell you a lot about yourself. It doesn’t matter what your first reaction is (either anger or gratitude) as long as your second reaction is acceptance (not denial). It doesn’t do you any good to point fingers or be defensive. Your audience or your clients don’t care about your feelings; they only care about how you can make their lives better. The best you can do is take advantage of the opportunity to learn and improve. As most football coaches will tell you, you can learn more from a loss than you can from a win. How you bounce back is just as important as bouncing back.
