Backward Thinking

With all due respect to “Alice in Wonderland’s” King of Hearts who said, “Begin at the beginning and when you come to the end stop,” I find it much more useful beginning at the end (the end-user, that is).  By asking the questions, ‘Who is my Audience,’ ‘Why do they care’ and ‘What do I want them to remember’ you will get a better idea as to how to structure your message.  So instead of thinking forward, try backward thinking.  A different perspective can change everything.
